About the Area

This area of Florida is affectionately known as the "Suncoast", and is nestled along Florida's Southwest Gulf Coast, conveniently located between Fort Myers and Sarasota Florida.

The area boasts a unique blend of cities and towns. You can choose from four island escapes: the barrier island community of Boca Grande; Palm Island, with its serene beaches accessible by ferry; secluded Don Pedro Island; and Little Gasparilla Island. For a small city experience, visit historic Punta Gorda, Englewood, or Port Charlotte. Quaint waterfront towns include El Jobean; Manasota Key; Cape Haze; and Placida, a quaint fishing and arts village.

Many consider this region a waterfront paradise for both saltwater and freshwater fishing, cruising, sailing and the great outdoors. The area offers four beautiful Gulf beaches to choose from, two State Parks, and miles of fishing along Lemon Bay and the Charlotte Harbor Estuary. The area is surrounded by several pristine golf courses, tennis facilities, and water sports providers, creating a utopia for Florida's sport and boating aficionados.
